Hello! I'm Peyton, a passionate storyteller from the Pacific Northwest, dedicated to amplifying the voices of underrepresented individuals whose stories often go unheard.
As a multimedia journalist, I believe that stories are best conveyed through the voices of the people themselves—and they resonate even more when we can see their faces. Video has the power to capture emotions and nuances that words alone may miss.
Growing up, my grandmother played a vital role in my life as a master storyteller. I spent countless hours on her living room carpet, listening to family tales passed down through generations. Her passion for storytelling inspired me deeply, but she faced a challenge I thankfully did not: she struggled with literacy, limited by a segregated South that prevented her from advancing past the third grade. It was through her experiences that my love for film began to flourish.
I recognize the honor and responsibility of sharing stories through visual and audio formats, and I strive to do justice to every narrative I tell.
